1. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

ReasonKit uses Google AdSense to support the website through advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites.

Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalise ads using information about visits across the internet. Advertising providers may receive your IP address, the page you visit, browser and device information, cookie identifiers and interactions with advertisements. They use this information to deliver and measure ads, limit repetition and help prevent fraud. Personalisation depends on the applicable permissions and settings.

Other advertising vendors and networks participating in Google's advertising services may also use cookies. Where a consent message is displayed, its vendor information identifies the providers requesting permission for that visit.

2. Your advertising and cookie choices

• Manage or opt out of Google's personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings.
• For participating third-party advertising companies, use the Digital Advertising Alliance's WebChoices tool or the provider's own privacy controls.
• Where a privacy or consent message is displayed, use its controls to review advertising vendors and accept, refuse or change optional data-use permissions. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it.
• Your browser lets you block or delete cookies and other site data. These settings can affect website features and may also erase previously saved privacy choices.

Opting out of personalised advertising does not necessarily remove advertisements or disable every cookie. Preferences may need to be set separately for each browser or device. This privacy policy is information, not a request for consent.

3. Other data the website processes

Website delivery and security

The hosting server and Cloudflare process connection and request information, such as IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps, browser information and error or security events. This supports delivery of the website, troubleshooting and protection against abuse. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Messages you send us

If you email the operator, your email address, message and any information you choose to include are used to respond and handle your enquiry. Please include only information relevant to your request.

Tune my Prompt

If you submit text through the optional Tune my Prompt feature, that text is sent through the website's server to OpenRouter and the AI provider handling the request to generate a response. This is an online service, not local-only processing. Avoid submitting confidential information or sensitive personal data. Provider processing and retention depend on the service and model used; see OpenRouter's Privacy Policy.

This website policy does not describe all processing by locally installed ReasonKit software or third-party applications you choose to connect to it.

4. Purposes and legal grounds

Website delivery, security and responding to general enquiries rely on the operator's legitimate interests in providing a functioning, secure service and communicating with visitors. Processing necessary to provide a service you request may be based on performing that service or taking steps at your request. Applicable legal obligations may also require certain records to be kept.

Consent is the basis for optional advertising storage and personalisation where consent is required. Necessary security processing has a different purpose from optional advertising. You can contact the operator to ask about the basis for a particular use of your data.

5. Providers and international processing

Data is shared as needed with hosting and security providers, email services, Google and participating advertising providers, and, when you use Tune my Prompt, OpenRouter and the AI provider processing your request. Data may also be disclosed where required by law.

These services may process information outside the European Economic Area. Their linked policies explain processing locations and transfer safeguards. Contact the operator for information about safeguards relevant to your request.

6. How long data is kept

Routine origin web-server logs are configured for daily rotation with 14 retained rotations, approximately two weeks. Other service logs, backups and provider records may have different retention periods.

Correspondence is retained according to the time needed to resolve the enquiry, handle related follow-up and meet applicable record-keeping or legal requirements. Advertising data, cookie lifetimes and AI-provider retention depend on the provider and your settings; consult the provider policies linked above. Contact the operator for details or to request deletion of data held about you.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you can request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

Send requests to [email protected]. Include enough information to identify the relevant interaction; proportionate identity verification may be needed before personal data can be disclosed. Requests will normally be answered within one month, with any lawful extension explained.

You may also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority, or the competent authority where you live or work. See the European Commission's explanation of your rights.
